How do I cancel my subscription?

Follow the steps below to cancel your subscription based on the platform you are using

​Cancelling a free trial

Here at Lumenate we offer a 7-day free trial for new users that unlocks full access to experience the app.

To avoid being charged after a free trial, you must cancel the trial subscription 24 hours before its expiration:

  • Follow the cancellation steps for either Apple or Google Play, as listed below.

  • The free trial will automatically convert to a paid subscription after the trial period if not cancelled.

  • If no trial or active subscription appears, you won’t be charged.

Please note: Due to App Store limitations, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the free trial is due to convert to a subscription to make sure you aren't charged (unfortunately this is decided by the App Store and not enforced by us here at Lumenate).



Managing your subscription (if purchased via Apple or Google Play)

If you purchased an in-app subscription this is managed through Apple or Google Play directly


Cancelling your Apple subscription

If you subscribed to our app through Apple, to cancel your subscription please visit Apple's Cancel a Subscription page or follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. Tap your name at the top, then tap "Subscriptions".

  3. Find the subscription you want to cancel and tap on it.

  4. Tap "Cancel Subscription" and follow the on-screen instructions. Once cancellation is complete, your subscription will not renew, but you can continue using the app until the current billing cycle ends.

Even after cancellation, you will continue to have access to the app until the subscription expires.

Cancelling your Google Play subscription

If you subscribed to our app through Google Play, to cancel your subscription please visit Google's Cancel a Subscription page or follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.

  2. Tap the profile icon at the top right.

  3. Tap "Payments & subscriptions" > "Subscriptions".

  4. Select the subscription you want to cancel.

  5. Tap "Cancel subscription" and follow the on-screen instructions. Once cancellation is complete, your subscription will not renew, but you can continue using the app until the current billing cycle ends.

Even after cancellation, you will continue to have access to the app until the subscription expires.


Managing your subscription (if purchased on kickstarter)

If you purchased a web subscription this can be managed through our customer portal


Cancelling your Web subscription

  1. Open the Lumenate app and head to the Settings tab.

  2. Tap "Account" > "Subscription Information" > "Cancel subscription", which will take you to our customer portal (you can also follow this link: customer portal).

  3. Log in to your billing account (if you're facing issues signing in, see below)

  4. Tap "Cancel subscription" and follow the on-screen instructions. Once cancellation is complete, your subscription will not renew, but you can continue using the app until the current billing cycle ends.

Customer portal sign-in

If you're unsure of which email you used for your billing account or if your email doesn't allow you to sign in, you can confirm your account by checking your inbox for the email "Subscription Confirmation - Login To Access". The email address this was sent to is linked to your account (it may be different from your Lumenate account email).
